Catch the Star of the North Jazz Orchestra, an 18-piece ensemble that jams out monthly on the fourth Tuesday at a local BBQ joint.
I hear they have usually have a singer as well, and it’s a great time.

The largest nighttime parade in Minnesota, it will run on Nicollet between 12th Street to 4th Street.

Another Porchfest next week in the Twin Cities, this one is in St Anthony Park in St Paul!
What’s Porchfest? Outdoor concerts performed from your neighbor’s front porch or front yard.
At the time I wrote this, they had 17 venues on the map, which you can find at sapporchfest.org.

Check out professional chalk art at the second annual chalk festival next week at the West End in the Twin Cities!
Plus they’ll have food trucks and art vendors, and the Twin Cities Road Crew will be there on Saturday from 10 - 1 playing games, dancing, and handing out prizes.

Calling all thrifters and vintage lovers in Minneapolis!
ThriftCon is coming to town with 140+ vintage clothing and collectible vendors. Their site says most guests find items between $10 to 50.
Tickets are $17 upfront or $40 for first dibs an hour early. Ages 13 and under are free. You can get tickets at the door, but they’ll be a little more.

The folks at Northeast Fitness are teaming up with Kitty Revolution, a local no-kill kitten rescue for a session of kitten yoga.
Bring your own mat. Tickets are $30.
They are also doing a shoe drive, so bring your new or gently used donations!
